SECTOR SOLUTION
Keep bottle and can returns clear when service is busy.
Plan return equipment for hotels, stadiums and events around guest flow, peak periods, accepted containers and back-of-house collection schedules.
PROJECT WORKFLOW
Decisions to make before installation.
Place
Qualify guest-facing versus staff-operated intake.
Operate
Set a collection routine around occupancy and event peaks.
Verify
Test labels, packaging condition and local cleaning responsibilities.
Guest experience and back-of-house logistics are different jobs. A hotel lobby may need a quiet, intuitive return; a stadium or event venue may need a staffed route that handles surges after service closes. Define both before choosing equipment.
The decision at this site
Identify where containers are consumed, when they arrive at the return point and how staff clear the area. Check labels, residues and mixed packaging from actual food-and-beverage operations. Decide what guests should do with a rejected item and whether housekeeping, catering or the waste contractor owns a full container. For events, make the post-event collection window explicit.
Equipment direction
Mini or One can support a guest-facing point where instructions and appearance matter. Bulk is a separate supervised option for batches gathered by staff. Glass requires its own stream and safety review; it should not be assumed to work in a standard bottle-and-can station. Choose the route by sample materials, staffing and downstream destination, then confirm the selected configuration’s clearances and handling requirements.
Software and integration
Cloud can help the facilities team assign collection and service tasks across venues. Connect can provide agreed accepted-return or handover events to a loyalty, event or reporting system when the customer needs them. Guest identity and incentive decisions stay within the programme’s approved rules; a physical return record is distinct from a marketing engagement count.
Service handover
Train the team that meets a guest at the station and the team that removes material after service. Agree cleaning, breakage response, storage, escalations and an end-of-event reconciliation. Send venue plans, operating hours, expected packaging and staffing roles for a tailored review. Discuss a venue or compare public and batch intake.
